What we Offer
As Founder and President of Common Ground Communications LLC, I excel in translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable strategies for diverse audiences. Our mantra is "Making Sense of Technology," ensuring our clients—including Apple, Intel, IBM, and Verizon—achieve success through integrated marketing, deployment, and strategic communications.
I have also served in the Vermont General Assembly, where, as the long-time chair of the Vermont Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy, I tackled complex policy challenges.
We strategically developed programs addressing environmental, climate, and energy problems and opportunities, passing 136 bills that are now Vermont law, and establishing one of the nation’s strongest environmental portfolios. In addition, following two years of collaboration with marginalized communities, we passed Vermont’s first environmental justice bill.
These two career threads are symbiotic. I have built cross-sector skills, knowledge, and experience that enables me to work effectively in private industry, in the world of non-profits, government and academia, and with citizens at large.
